The first ten days with the cast...

Our instructions from the doctor were that he was not allowed to put any weight on the cast at all. My initial thought was, if that is what his finger needs to heal then we will do it, however with as active as a child as Chase is, this doctor has no idea what this means. The first ten days were challenging to say the least. They got easier when a friend from church brought over a walker, that was my only relief. And thankfully Chase loved it, he zoomed around the downstairs and was quite happy. Bathing was also a pain, we went back to bathing in the sink which I don't love. We covered his cast with a plastic bag and made them short. The worst part was trying to wash his hair. I'm glad those days are over. Through it all, Chase was such a good sport. As you can see from the pictures, he remained a happy baby even though he got frustrated every now and again.
