On Nov. 13, we took Chase to a hand specialist in Provo. At the appointment, they took of the cast with a loud and mean looking machine. Chase was not phased and didn't even cry, what a stud huh?. Then they xrayed his hand. I have to say, it was very hard for me to see his finger. He still had the pin in so he couldn't bend his finger which seemed to upset him. We think it scared him more than hurt him. Either way, it brought on all the scary horrible feelings again for me and I cried a few times. They told us that his hand was healing well and they put a new cast back on, he chose green this time (the first one was blue). We always kept a sock on it to keep it clean and dry. They also told us glorious news, as long as he wasn't in pain, he could put pressure on it!! Wonderful, wonderful news!!
That was his first lollipop and it worked as a great distraction as they put the new cast back on.
The yellow ball was the end of the pin.
